BUILDING INSPECTIONS
HouseCall 2016 Ltd offers a comprehensive visual inspection of the property and then compile a detailed written report. Our 3-5 page report outlines the present condition of all the major elements of the property.
All inspections are carried out personally by John Mouat, the business owner. He has been involved in the building industry for almost 40 years - a genuine “old school” builder with huge experience.
Our inspections are based around the requirements of NZS 4306:2005, so you can be confident of a professional standard.
We do not carry out building work - because we are not looking for work, our reports are completely unbiased.

Building / Structural
We Inspect and comment on the Site, Subfloor, Exterior, Roof exterior, Roof Space, Interior, Services, garage, driveways and Fencing.
Moisture Detection
As a part of our inspection, we will use a non-invasive moisture meter to test any high–risk areas, or areas where there are visible symptoms of weathertightness or moisture concerns.
RENTAL compliance
We keep ourselves up to date with changing regulations around Insulation, Heating and Ventilation requirements, so we can advise whether your house complies or if improvements are needed.
Council records
As part of our service, we also review Council building records as available, to check the compliance of any significant work that may have been done.
